Jira Trello Integgration

Agile” has become a bit of a buzzword in recent years, and thus, lost some of its gravity.

But in the context of project management, agile still means something; it indicates a specific methodology used to collaborate, manage work in progress, and deliver products on time.

If you’re shopping for an agile project management solution (or any project management tool, really), you’ve probably come across JIRA and Trello.

The basics of JIRA

JIRA is the best-selling software development tool from Atlassian. Used by a lot of tech- and software teams it offers project planning and -tracking features.

Designed for agile software development teams, JIRA offers various dashboards and overviews for scrum- and agile techniques.

With 1,000 add-ons and extensions, JIRA enables you to integrate its software with other 3rd party tools you might already use.

The basics of Trello

Trello – on the other hand – is largely designed for more general usages. Trello is a lightweight project management tool. Designed as a Kanban board tool, you can visualize your task flow of anything from software development projects, to marketing campaigns, to holiday trips.

Key highlights for Synchronizing JIRA projects with Trello™ cards

  • Link JIRA issues to Trello cards so that everyone in your organization across all departments can see what work is getting done.

  • In a glance, see which JIRA issues are done across your entire board with color-coded card badges.

  • See an attached issue’s status, priority, assignee, and more right from the card back.

  • Quickly hop into any attached issue from a Trello card to dig into the details.

The key differences of JIRA vs Trello

While both of them are project management tools, JIRA and Trello have some key differences. Since JIRA was designed for software teams, it mainly targets software builders, developers, or project managers working on software projects.
